Our Approach to Care
Palliative Care
Palliative care may begin immediately after diagnosis and focuses on improving quality of life. These therapies work to relieve pain, symptoms, and stress caused by the illness while allowing the patient to maintain their desired activity level to the extent possible. Palliative care also gives special attention to the psychological and spiritual needs of the patient.
Hospice Care
Hospice care begins after treatment of the disease has ceased and addresses the patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs as they near the end of life. Our hospice services seek to keep the patient as comfortable as possible while preserving their dignity and quality of life, with nursing, emotional, and pastoral care.
